These Terms govern your use of the Minlane Living Archive service operated by Minlane Inc. By creating an account, you agree to these Terms.
Minlane is a family archive service that helps you capture and preserve the stories and voice of a loved one. Stories can be added in five ways:
Guided call — currently active: You and your loved one call each other as normal. Minlane joins the call as an announced recording participant, records the conversation, transcribes it, and generates a written memoir chapter for your review.
Email a memory — currently active: You or a registered family member emails your personal Minlane address. Minlane extracts the story, generates a draft chapter, and places it in your inbox for review before it is published. Only you can approve and publish a draft.
WhatsApp voice note or text — currently active: Anyone with your loved one's 6-digit archive PIN sends a WhatsApp message or voice note to the Minlane number. The contribution becomes a draft chapter in your inbox for review before it is published.
Narrate yourself — currently active: You record your own voice directly in the app to narrate a story. The recording is transcribed and turned into a written chapter for your review.
Invite — currently active: You send a family member a personal contribution link. They visit the link in any browser — no Minlane account or app required — and record a voice note or write a memory. The contributor must check a consent box before submitting. The contribution becomes a draft chapter in your inbox for review before it is published.
AI-initiated outbound call — not currently active: Minlane would call your loved one directly without you on the line. This mode is built but deliberately disabled pending additional legal and operational review. These Terms will be updated before this mode is enabled.
Minlane offers a free Starter plan and paid plans (Family and Legacy) with higher limits and additional features. Current pricing is always shown at minlane.com/pricing.
You must be at least 18 years old to create an account.
You are responsible for keeping your account credentials secure.
You may only create one account per person. Sharing accounts is not permitted.
You are responsible for all activity that occurs under your account, including content submitted by family members using your email address or WhatsApp archive PIN.
You are responsible for keeping your archive PIN confidential and sharing it only with family members you authorise to contribute memories.
